PANDIT HARIPRASAD CHAURASIA: MUSEE DU QUAI BRANLY PARIS 2010

Dedicated to the primal arts of the world and initiated by the former President of the French Republic, Mr. Jacques Chirac, the Musée du Quai Branly in Paris asked Igor Wakhevitch to organize a full week-end of Indian Classical Musicf to celebrate the career of Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia. From 4th to 6th June 2010 in Paris, "Hommage to Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia" proposed to the public two concerts of the great maestro of the bansuri bamboo flute, one master class, and two concerts of the most famous Indian vocalists, Pandits Rajan and Sajan Misra. A memorable week-end of Indian Classical music at its peak.
